For SLPs · Seattle

Built for solo SLPs practicing in Seattle.

If you are a private-practice speech-language pathologist in Seattle, you are competing with something free. ESIT — Washington’s birth-to-three program — takes a referral from anyone, evaluates inside 45 days, keeps no waitlist, and costs families little or nothing regardless of income or insurance. Your site has to answer the obvious follow-up: why you instead. We build a 5–8 page practice site that does exactly that, for $59/mo.

The specific Seattle friction: ESIT stops at age three, and a service plan rarely authorizes the frequency a parent actually wants. That gap is your caseload — but only if your site names it.

Where your referrals actually come from in Seattle.

Washington’s Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program — ESIT, run through the Department of Children, Youth & Families with King County delivery — is unusually easy to get into. Anyone can refer, including the parent. There is no waitlist. An evaluation and, if the child qualifies, a service plan happen within 45 days of referral, at little or no cost to the family whatever their income.

Which means the private-practice case in Seattle is almost never “we are faster.” It is one of these, and your site should pick the ones that are true for you:

  • After three. ESIT ends at the third birthday and the child moves to the school district. Families who want to keep going privately start looking right about then.
  • Frequency. A plan may authorize less than the parent wants. Private sessions fill the gap alongside it, not instead of it.
  • Adults. Post-stroke, voice, swallowing, gender-affirming voice — none of it is early intervention, and adult clients search completely differently than parents do.

Two things worth putting in plain sight: that you are a private practice and not an ESIT provider, so nobody arrives confused about cost, and your Washington DOH license. Washington SLPs renew annually on their birthday, so it is a live credential rather than a framed certificate.

If you practice in Seattle, this will sound familiar.

Versions of these come up from solo SLPs across the Seattle metro again and again.

A note on patient intake. Your website is the front door, not the medical record. We build a light-touch booking form that collects only the basics — name, email, age range, best way to reach you. Anything clinical (history, diagnoses, detailed concerns) belongs in the practice management software you already use (SimplePractice, IntakeQ, Jane). We don't store, transmit, or process patient health information on the website. You stay responsible for your own compliance program; we stay out of the regulated path.

How updates work

1 small update per month, included. Update your rates, swap a photo, add a specialty, change your hours, refresh credentials. The things that come up.

You see a preview before anything goes live. Send us what you want changed. We make the change on a staging URL, send you a preview link, you hit Approve. Then it ships.

Bigger work (new page, big rewrite, brand refresh) we quote as a one-time project, or bump to Plus ($99/mo) for 4 updates/mo and new pages included.

How we deliver this much for so little.

Streamlined processes and modern tools — not a marketing agency with overhead.

01

Tight scope, fast onboarding

A web form walks you through one question at a time — your credentials, specialties, insurance accepted, telehealth setup, headshot. 30–45 minutes total. We start building the next day.

02

Two rounds, then launch

The first pass is genuinely clean because we got the specifics upfront. Two structured rounds of feedback. Most sites launch 2–3 weeks after sign-up.

03

Preview before it goes live

Updated rates? New specialty? Different headshot? Email us. We make the change on a staging URL, send a preview, you hit Approve. It ships. You never log into a CMS.

Questions we get a lot.

Should my site mention ESIT at all?

We usually recommend one honest paragraph. Seattle parents often find you while they are still working out how early intervention works, and a site that says “we are private practice, here is what we do that ESIT does not, here is what we cost” converts better than one that stays quiet and hopes. Being clear you are not a state provider also filters out calls that were never going to book.

I have an adult caseload, not just pediatric. Does that change the site?

Quite a bit. Adults searching for voice, swallowing, or post-stroke therapy use different language than parents and almost never filter by “pediatric speech therapy Seattle.” If your caseload is mixed we build separate paths — different pages, different wording, different search terms — instead of averaging them into one page that speaks to neither.

Does the website handle patient health information?

No. The website is the front door, not the medical record. We design the booking form to collect only basic details — name, email, age range, best way to reach you. Anything clinical (history, diagnoses, treatment details) routes to your existing practice management software (SimplePractice, IntakeQ, Jane, etc.). We don't store, transmit, or process patient health information on the site. You stay responsible for your own compliance program; we stay out of the regulated path.

Will you replace my SimplePractice / TheraNest / Jane EHR?

No. We don't replace your EHR or practice management software. The website is the front door — it presents your practice, your specialties, your credentials, your insurance, and routes inquiries into your existing intake system. EHR stays where it is.

Do you do pediatric, adult, or both?

Both. The site can be positioned for pediatric (parent-facing, kid-friendly visuals, "speech therapy for kids in [city]"), adult (post-stroke, voice, swallow, transgender voice — more clinical), or a mixed pediatric/adult practice. We adapt the copy, the imagery, and the SEO focus to your actual caseload.

What about telehealth?

If you offer telehealth, we build it into the site as a clear, prominent option. We don't replace your telehealth platform (Doxy.me, SimplePractice telehealth, Zoom for Healthcare) — we link to it. The site explains what telehealth looks like, what equipment patients need, what states you're licensed in.

How do you handle insurance pages?

Clearly. Insurance accepted, self-pay rates, sliding scale availability, superbill policy if you're out of network. Most SLP sites bury this. We surface it because parents and patients filter by insurance first.

How does onboarding work?

A web form walks you through one question at a time — credentials, specialties, insurance, license, headshot, telehealth setup. 30–45 minutes. We follow up with a 20-minute call if anything needs clarification. Then we build. First pass typically lands in your inbox 7–10 days later.

How many rounds of feedback?

Two structured rounds. Round 1 dials in copy and layout. Round 2 catches anything you noticed once you saw it live. Then we ship. Most SLP sites launch 2–3 weeks after sign-up.

What's included in the "1 update per month"?

Rate change, photo swap, new specialty added, hours change, license/credential renewal, copy refresh. Anything that's a 15–60 minute change. Bigger work (new page, big rewrite) we quote as a one-time project, or bump to Plus ($99/mo) for 4 updates/mo plus new pages included.

What if I just want a one-time build?

We don't do that. The whole point of this model is your site doesn't end up frozen and dated 18 months from now. If you want a one-time build, hire a Squarespace designer. We'll happily refer.

I'm an OT or PT in solo practice. Do you work with us?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. The product is built and tuned for SLPs, but the business shape (solo allied-health practitioner, pediatric-leaning, intake-form-driven) is the same for occupational and physical therapists in private practice. Occupational therapists now have their own page at /for-ots/. PTs, get in touch and we’ll talk.

Get started.

Tell us about your practice. We'll reply within 24 hours with next steps — usually a short call and a link to our onboarding form.
